Axis International School was started in 2003 as a joint venture between Yugen Kaisha Mahr Corporation and a Japanese partner who was looking for a good international school on the west side of Tokyo to send his children. The school was started with the program of Home Study International from Maryland, U.S.A.
Our first High School student graduates and went to an American University.
The partnership dissolved and Y.K. Mahr Corporation operated the school on it’s own. The Preschool was opened in Naka-cho, Mitaka where it currently is still located with our first baby. The school bus service started to operate as a shuttle bus between the new Preschool facility and the main campus in Kichijoji Hon-cho.

Home Study International is purchased by Andrews University, Michigan, U.S.A. The homeschool program is renamed Griggs International Academy with two parts. One part focused on home schooling and another on creating affiliations with schools.

First trip to America organized. We went to Orlando for one week and then enjoyed summer camp at Camp Kulaqua.
